Voted Omaha’s favorite annual festival and consistently selected as one of the top arts festivals in the country by Sunshine Artist magazine, the Omaha Summer Arts Festival has grown to become one of Omaha’s largest and most vibrant public festivals with more than 80,000 people attending each year.
The Festival is held in the heart of downtown Omaha and features a juried Artists’ Market, a variety of stage performances, a large hands-on children’s fair, Young Artist Exhibition, Nebraska Craft Brew Fest and more. Now entering its 34th year, the Festival continues to attract new audiences from throughout the region.
VGA co-founded the Omaha Summer Arts Festival and has produced and managed the event since it was first introduced in 1975. In addition, VGA spearheads fundraising, researches and writes grants and develops and implements a comprehensive marketing campaign each year.
