Girls Incorporated of Omaha
In 2000, VGA assisted Girls Inc. with a unique fundraiser. Warren Buffett donated his wallet, complete with a stock tip, for auction to the highest bidder. The auction raised more than $200,000 for Girls Inc. and attracted national media attention and bidders from throughout the country.

Following up this success, in 2008, VGA again assisted Girls Inc. with a fundraising event involving Mr. Buffett. Prior to the start of the Berkshire Hathaway shareholder's meeting in May, Mr. Buffett's portrait was painted by performance artist Michael Israel. The portrait was commissioned by Benjamin Moore, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway. This November of the same year, the portrait was auctioned with the proceeds benefitting Girls Inc.

VGA now provides year-round development support by formulating marketing and development plans, fundraising and writing grants. For the first time in many years, Girls Inc. met and surpassed its annual fund drive and grant revenue goals in 2009.

Testimonial
Eileen McComb, Director of Communications, Benjamin Moore & Co.
We enjoyed working with VGA and so greatly appreciated your guidance on sticky wicket issues, the great outreach to all parties made by your team, and the phenomenal media results – plus we have a great piece of art that will raise lots of money for Girls Inc. Most notably, I thoroughly loved working with Elizabeth and Mindy and all team VGA.
