VGA helped the Fontenelle Nature Association (FNA), a pristine, nearly 2,000-acre nature preserve located in Bellevue, Nebraska, develop a corporate sponsorship program, identifying and securing several major new funders. These efforts have resulted in raising more than $100,000 each year, supporting FNA's educational and conservation programs.
On the events side, VGA coordinated the grand opening of the Katherine and Fred Buffett Forest Learning Center in 2000 which featured a gala evening event for adults and daytime activities for a family audience. The following year, VGA assisted in the design and launch of FNA's popular annual Native American Music Festival which has featured local, regional and national musicians, dancers and craftspeople. In 2002, VGA helped introduce "Elements," an environmental arts exhibit with works placed throughout the Boardwalk area of the forest. In addition to helping develop and implement these events, VGA developed targeted marketing campaigns that drew large crowds to each of these activities.
Executive Director, Fontenelle Nature Association
“Fontenelle Nature Association worked with VGA, over a number of years, on a variety of levels ranging from marketing, public relations, special event management to fundraising. It was my experience that VGA internalized the mission of the organization as well as understanding our goals and aspirations then adeptly translated them into action. Through our collaboration with VGA, the Association was able to increase its membership base through quality special events while raising our community visibility which resulted in greater community support.”
